Genres are provided, and the ranking was determined according to IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes ratings with the number of votes behind the ratings used as a tiebreaker. One is the best-rated film according to viewers and so forth.
I’m sure the list includes a few WTF moments for some people. This is not an objective system. The 500 films selected were a matter of pure personal preference for the films, and some highly-respected films may be absent.
